We enjoyed an evening on the lake on Evie and Dan's wonderful aqua patio. (AP) It was a delightful evening, enjoying the water, wind, food, and friends (and a few drinks, too.) We finished with the sun setting in the distance, just before we docked.

W had great fun celebrating Tom's 60th birthday. Ken tries to get his wireless finder shirt working, and with Evie's batteries (or were they Dan's?) we made a connection.

Here, someone isn't playing well with others.

But we had a great time, as usual. I think Tom was happy with his gifts. We look forward to Evie's and John's birthdays, which we will celebrate soon.
A wonderful evening, with wonderful friends, great food, and thoughtful gifts.

All smiles!

While Corey and Lexy went picking strawberries, we watched the two little ones. They were all smiles that morning. Brooklynn really pours it on when the camera is pointed in her direction. She seems even happier now that her tonsils are gone, and she is felling better. What great smiles!

It's a Parade

While Brooklynn recouperated from her tonsilectomy, her bother and sister watched a parade in Corinna. The weather wasn't the best, but the kids didn't mind. I love the one of Dawson, since just a few months ago, he couldn't hear much. The sirens on the firetrucks really bothered his ears. Papa is explaining something to Lexy, and she seems very interested. Thanks to the Condons for hosting our streetside seats.

Fun in the Sun July 6, 2008

We had a family gathering over the weekend, and it was a perfect day for the pool. It's been a long time since we had this much activity in the pool. All the kids went in and enjoyed the water. Lexy and Izabel were waterlogged by the end of the day. Brooklynn conked out, and took a nap on the deck. Even little Alyvia enjoyed getting cooled off.

Memorial Weekend 2008

We were fortunate to have a visit from the grandkids, as well as the kids, this past weekend. Here, Dawson is helping Mammie bake cookies. Well, actually he really helped with the eating of the cookies. He also had a big milestone this weekend, as he peed on the pottie at Mammie and Papa's! Quite a day for him.

I couldn't decide which picture to put on, so I went with both. Isn't she quite the doll in front of the camera? Her hair is just ringlets, making her Mammie very jealous. She continues to be a Daddy's girl whenever he is around, just can't get very far from him.

Alexys is growing up way to fast. She will be in kindergarten in the fall, and really seems to be changing, and growing up. She spent most of the afternoon with her great grandparents, helping them planting their garden, and getting things ready for a cookout for supper. She usually is willing to help with almost anything.

Mother's Day-a day late!

The kids helped me celebrate Mother's Day in a grand fashion. Brooklynn is getting quite a head of curly hair, and has mastered smiling when the camera is pointed in her direction.

Dawson is getting so big. He really lights up, too, when I get the camera out. He loves his bike, and has finally given up the winter boots for his sneakers. We thought he'd be wearing them all summer.

Alexys has a new haircut. She looks so much more grown up to me. She loves the flowers, but not the bees that were buzzing around her. She still cannot part with the headbands, but at least her hair stays out of her face.

Celebration of birthdays

We celebrated 2 birthdays this weekend, Ken and Sue, with a fantastic meal, entertaining ditties, gifts galore, and cake. It was a memorable evening, with laughter flowing all of the evening.

I think Sue likes her dishes!
