A day well spent......

Today, Ken and I took a hand gun safety course, and spent the afternoon shooting hand guns....safely. I can now say that I could do it, if I had to, to protect myself or my home.  It was a day well spent, with some great people, and some valuable lessons learned.

 Bill was a great instructor. He had some cool weapons, and allowed us to fire them, with instruction.  I think we all came away with a sense of security, and confidence.

Lexy turns 9!

What has happened to the time? It can't be that she has turned 9 years old. She is losing that little girl look, and growing up.

She was so excited with her new big bike. But her legs go on forever, so it won't take long for her to outgrow this one, either.

Kloe put her talents on paper as she made some lovely paper flowers to brighten my kitchen.

She also enjoyed riding her bike, with the other kids, this chilly spring afternoon. Love to see them outside.
Dawson and Brooklynn were not far behind, either. They all have a great time riding up and down the driveway.

Then we went inside for the celebrating. She asked for red velvet cupcakes (even though she had never had them.) When she saw them, she hugged me, and thanked me, and said they were beautiful. Certainly makes the baking and decorating all worth it.
And they did turn out quite nice, if I do say so myself!
Happy Birthday, my Lexy! You certainly bring such joy and happiness, as we watch you grow and change. Love you!
